Maggie Gibbard - BACP With the demanding lives we lead and the increasing pressures we face, it is no surprise that more and more people need support. People are beginning to see the benefits of looking after their mental well-being as well as their physical health.  Counselling offers that support.

Whether you have been affected by major life events such as ill health, bereavement, abuse or by the build up of day-to-day pressures and stresses which life can throw at you, counselling can help.  I work relationally and provide clients with a safe, confidential and supportive environment where they can feel comfortable talking about the issues affecting them most, with an aim of finding a resolution and way forward.

I am able to offer short-term, long-term and open-ended counselling.  I have experience working with both adults and young people.  My experience includes (but is not limited to) working with clients who have been affected by the following issues:

  • Bereavement
  • Loss
  • Stress
  • Depression
  • Low self-esteem/confidence/self-worth
  • Low mood
  • Life changing events (e.g. divorce, redundancy, major illness)
  • Emotional Abuse
  • Domestic Violence
  • Anxiety
  • Anger
  • Work related issues (e.g. workplace bullying, threat of redundancy, career change)
  • Trauma (including post traumatic stress (PTS)).

The first 50 minute assessment session is discounted and will give us a chance to get to meet each other, determine how you may benefit from counselling and give you an opportunity to ask any questions you may have.  Please see my Fees for more details.

I offer my counselling sessions in Bradley Stoke.

Please feel free to contact me with any inquiries.
